The river

A river is water, it streams and after a while the water has passed. But the river stays. In this series I explore this concept by following the ‘Oude Rijn’ (a small river in The Netherlands) on its path from Bodegraven to Leiden. It takes the river exactly six days (144 hours) to cover these twenty kilometres. I travelled for six days with the water in the river taking a picture of this water every day at exactly 20.00 h. The pictures are taken at the exact spot the water has reached after 24 hours.
